2nd Annual Harrison Township Offshore Challenge
*Are You Ready? July 25-26th, 2009
We have a lot planned for 2009. This year's event will combine activities with the Cintron Offshore Classic, Sunsation Power Boats Raft-Up and the Boat Town USA Festival of Lights. The united events will draw nearly 400 power boats to the shores of Harrison Township and countless spectators. The Cintron Offshore Classic is the highlight of the weekend. Stop by Beacon Cove Marina and check out the race boats. Some of these magnificent machines are capable of speeds nearing 200mph!
Beacon Cove Marina will also host the beverage tent and live entertainment for the weekend. Come out and enjoy the weekend.
Harrison Offshore is an organization of performance boating enthusiasts with a common goal to the benefit the community through the promotion of power boating, racing, poker runs and rallies. Funds raised through our activities will be distributed to local charities including but not limited to Special Olympics, Marine Sheriffs Division, Coast Guard, Fire/ EMS and the Turn One Children's Charitable Trust.
Our organization is reviving the Metro Beach, Michigan Offshore Powerboat Race. This venue was host to some of the best racing in the history of Offshore during the 1970's and 80s. Currently, we are a small group of local racers and enthusiasts that receive help from the local businesses, but our vision is a much larger organization. With your help we can become an organization with a leadership role in SE Michigan.
